Seared honey garlic salmon

I've been craving some healthy food for the past few days and finally got around to doing it.


I went with a nice salmon filet and built my meal around it. It was so good!


Ingredients

3 oz salmon filet

Salt

Pepper

Paprika

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

5 garlic cloves chopped

1/4 cup honey (or brown sugar)

3 tbsp water

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp Sriracha


Rinse salmon and pat dry. Season with salt, pepper and paprika on both sides. Set aside.


In an oven safe pan, melt butter & olive oil. Add garlic and sauté for a few mins. Add in honey, water, soy sauce and Sriracha and heat through. Place salmon skin side down in pan and baste frequently for 3 mins. Place pan in oven and broil until the top of the salmon has caramelized - an additional minute or so. Serve with your favorite salad, rice or potatoes. So good!
