Jar'ing our homegrown tomatoes!


Bottling season! ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ


Made our 2nd batch of tomato sauce from our harvest and kept it super simple!


Ingredients:


Tomatoes! (We had beefsteak, hothouse, roma, blackkrim and san marzano)

5-6 cloves garlic

5-6 columnar basil stems with leaves

2 sprigs of thyme

Salt and pepper

4 tbsp sugar


Roughly chop up tomatoes and toss into a large sauce pan with the above ingredients. Simmer on low until tomatoes are soft. Turn off heat and put the sauce through a strainer. Bottle the strained sauce and flip the bottle upside down until cooled down. Store until ready to use!
