Chilly, snowy days are for comfort cooking and snuggling up on the couch with a bowl of meatballs & pasta💕- Grandma Nelly's meatballs and pasta!
2 lb regular ground beef (you could also add 1/2 lb of ground pork to the mix)
1 small onion diced
3 cloves garlic minced
2 slices of bread soaked in milk
1 tbsp Herb de provence (a mix of rosemary, thyme, basil & oregano)
Salt and pepper
4 cups of Water
1 tbsp Herb de provence
2-3 cloves garlic
1 can tomato paste
6 tbsp sugar (I know this sounds like a lot but trust me on this 😊)
In a saucepan, combine all the sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Turn heat down to a simmer. Combine the meatball ingredients, form mini meatballs and add to the sauce mix. On low heat, simmer the meatballs in the sauce for about 40 minutes until cooked through.
Serve with pasta cooked to al denté. We drizzled ours with a touch of olive oil and a few slices of caramelized cheese - Enjoy!😊
